How to choose an offset BBQ smoker
Five decisions determine which smoker fits you: wall thickness, airflow design, size, smoke tower and options. The tables below come straight from the current MyPatio range.
1. Wall thickness
The thicker the steel, the more massive the smoker — and the higher its price; weight generally rises with wall thickness. 4 and 6 mm are lighter and more affordable.

2. Classic or Reverse Flow
In a Classic smoker, heat and smoke travel from the firebox straight through the cooking chamber to the chimney at the far end, so it runs hotter near the firebox. In a Reverse Flow smoker, a baffle plate first guides the hot gases beneath the food to the end of the chamber and back, giving a more even temperature across the whole grill surface.

3. Size
The diameter of the cooking chamber sets the grill area. 16.6″ is the compact entry point with the widest choice of models, 16.6″ Long adds length, 20″ offers more grill area and 24″ is the biggest chamber.

4. Smoke tower
Some models have a fixed smoke tower with levels above the firebox. It adds extra space for food; the smoker finder shows all models with a tower.

5. Options and accessories
On request: rotisserie, second grill level, thermometer ports, longer legs and more. Accessories such as grates, heat shields and covers are available per smoker size.
6. Delivery and ordering
Smokers are usually delivered fully assembled; delivery on a pallet is available for a surcharge. You send a non-binding inquiry and receive a binding offer by email with the final price, shipping costs and expected delivery date. Shipping is charged and depends on country and weight; for smokers it starts at EUR 200.
